Broaden our knowledge
Help process the initial selection from a new educational channel. Votes determine the order of addition.

Knowledge is a shared resource. With PSI companion, help enrich it, choose the next languages and share your ideas. With your help, PSI will remain free to access and ad-free.
The first step: participate
Found an interesting video? Find its tuit, explore its channel on PSI and help make that knowledge accessible to everyone. The extension brings these actions together, directly in your browser.
From YouTube, open the tuit associated with a video and its PSI channel page. From a tuit, open its channel to discover more summaries.
Propose an educational channel. At first launch, explicitly choose whether to automatically send public metadata about the YouTube videos you browse; this sharing is independent of donations. After editorial approval, adding a channel selects the 15 newest videos longer than 10 minutes, regardless of age, then up to 75 other most-viewed videos longer than 10 minutes published within the 365 days before processing. New uploads are then followed.
Vote for a channel or language, contribute to the guestbook and express interest in the shop. These activities are free and independent of donations.
From PSI 2.0, complete transcripts can be submitted after review, even for a channel not yet followed; they await an editorial decision.

Channels and languages receiving the most votes will be added first, among eligible proposals and when the necessary resources are available.
First group: the 20 languages selected for PSI titles. French and English are already available on the site.
Alphabetical order follows the displayed language. Votes set priorities.
Choose from the world’s 30 most spoken languages that do not appear in the first list.
Reference: total speakers (first and second language), Ethnologue 2026 table reproduced by Wikipedia. Language varieties are distinguished; Western Punjabi is offered separately from the Punjabi in the initial list.
Proposals must have educational value and comply with PSI’s editorial policy.
Voting is free. Donating does not grant extra votes or change a proposal’s position.

An idea to decide together
A support shop may open if the community expresses enough interest. Voting for this idea does not commit you to buying anything.
Three visual concepts to discuss and vote on. None of these items is on sale.
An initial vote will measure interest in the shop. The threshold will be announced before voting opens.
Designs, products and estimated prices will be put to a vote before being made available.
A future design contest could invite the community to imagine new items supporting PSI.
Net proceeds, after manufacturing, selling and delivery costs, will support PSI.
Choose an amount that suits you. Every contribution helps preserve free access to knowledge, without advertising or a required account.
Tangible goals
Your contributions will help keep processing going, open new languages and strengthen our independence. The machines below illustrate capacity levels; the choice will depend on PSI’s needs and measured performance.

Keep tuits available, fast to browse and free of advertising throughout the year. The $300 estimate covers hosting 1,000 channels in one language for a year. It grows with the catalogue: 1,000 channels in two languages would be about $600 a year. Producing summaries and purchasing hardware are separate goals below.

Cover the complete history of older videos with a transcript, for followed channels and content eligible under PSI’s editorial policy. Generalised processing is conditional on an appropriately sized workstation being fully funded and operational. It depends on local processing and scaling up; a donation provides no entitlement to processing a particular channel or video.
An outcome of increased capacity
funded through both processing tiers
Increase local video processing capacity, from transcription to publication, with systems offering 64 to 128 GB of memory.

Increase computing, storage and publication capacity to reach and exceed one million pages, with systems offering at least 512 GB of memory.

Donations are totalled in US dollars using the daily reference exchange rate on the payment date, fixed for each donation. When no rate is published, the previous reference is used. Taxes and collection fees are not deducted.
Progress will be available once the service is connected.
Estimated amounts in US dollars. Exact amounts are not yet fully defined. Hosting is estimated at around $300 per 1,000 channels, per language and per year.
Understanding local processing
A local workstation should handle the entire workflow, not only transcription.
Discover new videos by checking channels in rotation.
Retrieve the available text or transcribe the audio.
Extract the main ideas and information.
Assess the content and its limits.
Organise knowledge by subject.
Make summaries available in each language.
Prepare the site pages.
Update the search tools.
Publish completed tuit during scheduled cycles.
These capacities are sizing targets. Actual throughput will depend on the models, video volume, translations and concurrent processing.
PSI’S WORK CYCLE
Our servers work on an hourly cycle. Discovery of new videos, processing and publication of completed tuit are triggered regularly. Channels are checked in rotation, and processing may continue across several cycles. These are scheduled triggers, not a guaranteed publication time for each video.
Connect knowledge. Bring ideas to life.
In the age of artificial intelligence, let us cultivate our ability to understand, reason by analogy and imagine what connecting knowledge makes possible.
